Yesterday I tweeted about my frustration with Twitter’s limited search capabilities. Specifically, I was looking for a quick way to find one of my tweets. Some of you kindly chimed in and suggested using specific queries and Twitter’s advanced search. But that only worked for tweets that aren’t older than 10 days.

I found TwimeMachine minutes ago, and it looks like the ideal tool for my use case: It retrieved my 1,700 tweets in less than 15 seconds and presented them in a searchable plain text format, alongside the URL and date for each tweet. Here’s a screenshot.

For me, this is much more convenient than downloading my entire Twitter archive every time I want to find something. Let’s hope TwimeMachine doesn’t abuse its access rights to post BS to your timeline.
